The way transgender issues are so brutally demonetized, and suppressed by mainstream search systems has essentially killed what was once a good place for the trans community. I’ve waqtched as other trans content producers have emerged, flourished and then slowly declined as FB, Google, and others have gradually moved attention away from our efforts to inform and support our community. Just as algorithms can prioritize content, equally they can deprioritize content, and that’s precisely what has been happening. To describe it as disheartening is an understatement.
Yet, we do not fade away entirely. I will continue on Patreon, and these days I find that if I put much greater effort into my local trans community it yields greater results How times have changed. Clothes Maketh The Man will continue, on my Patreon.
We will not disappear. We will simply adapt. These colors don’t run.
